Mission Mortgage, a well-established and expanding regional mortgage banker, is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

Individual would be involved with the Secondary Department primarily handling lock requests, and requests regarding guidelines and eligibility.
Individual would be required to communicate and resolve questions and issues, assisting Originators, Processors, and Underwriting and other departments as needed.

The ideal candidate would be familiar with Optimal Blue Product Pricing Engine and Mortgage Builder/Architect Connect Loan Origination System. Not required.

Skills and Requirements

  • People, Math, Time Management and attention to detail.
  • Good analytical skills with a good background and understanding of the mortgage business and at least a basic understanding and knowledge of a secondary market department functions
  • Experience working with internal and external cross functional teams.
  • Computer proficiency with Excel, Word and Access. Function with Power Point.

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility will be to assist our team of retail loan originators with loan file management and pre-processing, ensuring that loans close on time, accompanied with the highest level of customer satisfaction. The position requires a high level of customer service as the candidate will act as a liaison between the customer, loan officer and the processing team, requiring effective communication to all parties involved in the loan transaction about time lines and expectations. Other duties include the collection of documents, appraisals, and information from 3rd parties along with effective, professional communication to the borrower, the loan officer and the real estate agent.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Loan file preparation and organization
  • Monitor loan pipeline
  • Calendar scheduling of loan officer sales activities
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to prospects, clients and business partners
  • Deliver excellent customer service before, during and after the loan transaction
  • Database management
  • Assist loan team with outside sales activities

Required Experience & Skills

  • Specific mortgage-related experience not required
  • Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written and oral), and telephone etiquette skills
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week
  • Proficient in the use of the PC and MS office applications

Mission Mortgage is looking to hire a home loan professional for our Closing Disclosure Desk.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Perform required verifications within TRID guidelines to ensure all federal policies have been met prior to authorizing loan to be closed.
  • Prepare, send and track Closing Disclosure.
  • Confirm fees are accurately represented on the Initial Closing Disclosure.
  • If Initial Closing Disclosure is incorrect, notify applicable parties of deficiencies in order to make loan TRID compliant.
  • Perform special/target internal closing audits as assigned.
  • Remain current with regulation changes from government/state agencies, as well as policy changes from Agencies and Investors as well as company Policy and Procedures related to closing.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years in mortgage banking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player.
